These cookies are like a chocolate nut bar, in a rounded shape. If you were to immerse them in melted chocolate, I think they might be even better….  Here is the recipe:

1/2 cup of butter

3/4 cup of sugar

2 eggs

3tbsps heavy cream

2 cups AP unbleached flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup good quality cocoa, (Ghirardelli is a good choice)

pinch of salt

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

1/2 cup lightly toasted walnuts

1 tsp vanilla extract


Preheat oven to 350F.  Line 2 sheet pans with parchment paper.  In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, soda ,salt and vanilla till fluffy and light.  Add eggs, one at a time, then add heavy cream. Sift flour, and add to mixture all at once. Do not overmix,  Then add chips and walnuts.  Use a small ice cream or sorbetto scoop, and drop cookies on lined sheet pans at least 2″ apart. Bake 8-10 minutes, depending on your desired level of chewiness….I like them just a tad soft….Enjoy!  P3230029
